The following terms and conditions apply when you order products from this website or when you use this website.
We advise you that before placing an order you carefully read these terms.
By ordering from us or using this website, you will agree to be bound to these terms and to all the conditions expressed on it.
VIDA Bakery is part of Vida Foods Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under the number 09901296, registered office 139 Brick Lane, E1 6SB, London, United Kingdom.
Payment and ordering
In order to confirm your order (online orders, telephone orders, shop orders) full payment is needed. Our current methods of payments are: BACS and online invoicing. Payments in our physical shop will only be accepted when you place an order, this means no payments on pick-ups.
Vida Bakery reserves the right to cancel any order if payment is not received 48 hours before the delivery/pick-up date.
We do a lot of bespoke cakes and cupcakes and we do encourage our customers to go as creative as possible. However, we won’t 100% replicate cakes from pictures or previous orders. We will put a lot of time and effort to be as accurate as possible but you have to bear in mind that all our cakes are handmade by our wonderful team of bakers, this makes ‘exact replication’ a bit challenging, also, we believe every cake is unique and beautiful creation.
We cater to many dietary restrictions and we are an allergy-friendly bakery (this does not apply to nuts since we handle all sorts of nuts in the kitchen). It is your responsibility to clearly state all of your allergies and intolerances before confirming your order.
We reserve the right to not fulfil your order if you have a severe allergy to any of the ingredients we handle in the kitchen.
We do a lot of ingredients substitution in order to cater to your dietary needs, however, we will always recommend customers those ingredients that are safe for them and that will work better when baking with them and which ones will affect texture and taste of the final product. If you decide to ignore our recommendations, we won’t be liable for the final product, its taste and look.
Remember all our products are free from egg, diary and gluten. And our kitchens are 100% free-from these ingredients.
We reserve the right to use photographs of orders we prepare on our website, Instagram account and Facebook account.
Delivery - Collection
We do not offer delivery service just yet and the best way to get your order is to collect it from our shop at 139 Brick Lane, London.
If you require a delivery, you can arrange a private courier. If this is the case, please make sure it is a car or a van, not a motorbike. Also, make sure they know they are going to courier a cake, since some courier companies won’t allow any food in their cars. If you want us to book a courier for your order, we can assist you with it.
We cannot accept any liability for the treatment or mishandling of your order, unless you are personally picking up your order from our shop. If this is the case, a member of staff will show you your order and will wait for your approval, once you leave our shop you are liable for the appearance or your order.
Returns and refunds
All our products are made to order reason why we cannot accept any returns. Refunds or replacement of orders will be given in case you receive the incorrect product or if they show any sign of poor quality.
If you are in any way not satisfied by the quality or your order, you have to notify us on the day of collection/delivery, otherwise we won’t be able to offer you a refund. The notification should be made by email to email@example.com only. We won’t take any complaints, comments or any other piece of information through our social media profiles, so please avoid using our instagram account or facebook to refer to this matter.
If the product is missing elements stated on your order confirmation, we will credit or refund your purchase.
If the product is damaged, we will require a set of pictures for our full inspection from which after evaluation and subject to these terms and conditions we will decide whether to make a refund or not. Remember we are not liable for the mishandling or mistreatment of your order once it leaves our premises.
We will only do refunds to the original bank account from which received payment, legal ownership of the goods will immediately revert to us if we refund any such payments to you.
Taste is a very personal matter we cannot accept the return of any products just because you do not like the taste.
All refunds are made within 2 to 5 working days.
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at 07879860108. Orders cancelled before 7 or more days of delivery/collection are entitled to a full refund. For orders cancelled before 6 to 3 days you will be given a 50% refund and for orders cancelled within 48 hours of collection or delivery you won’t be refunded.
