How are the cakes made and sent?

All cakes are freshly baked on request, they are wrapped in a cake collar and film to protect it from moving. Then they are carefully packaged with a pair of ice packs and covered with recyclable thermal pads to preserve the temperature inside the package.

How will the cake arrive?

All cakes are decorated like naked cakes, this means they are not fully covered outside with cream, they do not have any dripping or toppings, apart from sprinkles. This is because we want the cake to arrive as neat as possible so even though it travelled many miles to your house, you can still take it out and display it properly.

How long do they last?

You don’t have to eat your cake as soon as it arrives. The cakes are designed to be in the fridge or freezer to preserve its quality until the time to cut it comes. On the freezer the cake will last for many months, but we will recommend you to have it within the first couple of months.

When will my cake arrive?

The cakes are sent with 1-day delivery after shipment. Remember, placing an order does not mean immediate shipment. We ship orders every week on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is very important that you don’t miss your delivery since this could affect the freshness of the package.

Can I send a cake as a surprise?

We love when you order things as a surprise for your loved ones, but make sure the person will be available at home on the day of the delivery.

Would you be doing any other flavours?

Short answer is yes. We will be introducing more flavours according to requests. Send us an email to info@vidabakery.co.uk and tell us which flavours you would like us to include.

Can I order another flavour in the meantime?

Yes. But bear in mind that we won’t include or do any extra decorations, all the cakes will be in the same format. If you would like to order your own flavour, send us an email to orders@vidabakery.co.uk specify that you want a postal cake order and the flavour. We will need payment, the full delivery address, and your contact number.

Are these cakes vegan and gluten free?

Everything we do is 100% free from diary, egg, and gluten. We are vegan friendly bakery, so we also avoid using any ingredient that goes against this. For more information about our ingredients and allergens please read below.

GF FLOUR (CORN, RICE, POTATO AND BUCKWHEAT BLEND), CASTER SUGAR, RAISING AGENTS, SOYA MILK, SUNFLOWER OIL, VANILLA ESSENCE. CIDER VINEGAR, SUNFLOWER AND VEGETABLE FAT, ICING SUGAR, VANILLA PASTE, PALM OIL, RAPESEED OIL, CORN STARCH, SUGAR SYRUP, LUPIN FLOUR, CINNAMON, RICE STARCH, NATURAL FLAVOURING, SODIUM HYDROGEN CARBONATE, AMMONIUM HYDROGEN CARBONATE, SALT.

All products are handmade fresh every day in our kitchen. Not all products contain nuts, but WE DO HANDLE NUTS in our production kitchen. 

If you have a severe allergy to nuts or any other main allergen we recommend you NOT to have our products.

All products are free-from dairy, egg and gluten.

We bake all orders fresh, so placing an order doesn’t mean it will be processed, baked and sent on the same day.

Festive season delivery: Please avoid ordering at the very last minute because we can’t guarantee will arrive on certain days.

The last day to place orders this year (2023) will be WEDNESDAY THE 20TH at 10AM. After the 20/12/2023 our online shop will be closed, coming back on the 4/01/2024.

REMEMBER: ALL our products can be frozen and they will be perfectly fine for NYE.
